You can’t keep flies away from scat if its left out in the open too long. So I’m hardly shocked that David Duke found his way to Iran’s Holocaust Deniers Convention. And in the grand scheme of moral horror that thing is, this is a microscopic complaint. But maybe Reuters could have described him a little less positively than a “U.S. academic” and “former Louisiana Republican Representative.” I mean it’s not like he was in the U.S. Congress and it ain’t like he has tenure somewhere. If he’s an academic, who isn’t? Anyway from Reuters, The Shameless Wire Service:
Among the participants was U.S. academic David Duke, a former Louisiana Republican Representative. He praised Iran for hosting the event.
“There must be freedom of speech, it is scandalous that the Holocaust cannot be discussed freely,” Duke, a former Ku Klux Klan leader told Reuters. “It makes people turn a blind eye to Israel’s crimes against the Palestinian people.”
