My wife and I watched the first episode of Daybreak on ABC last night. It’s like a cross between Groundhog Day and The Fugitive and as intense as 24. I wasn’t looking to get hooked on a TV show, but I think it happened. Critically, there’s (apparently) a promise of closure after a certain number of episodes, unlike Lost, the show it’s temporarily replacing and whose joys are diminishing as viewers like me feel as though we’re just getting strung along.
