Dean: Obamacare ‘a Rube Goldberg Contraption’

The Affordable Care Act is a bit more complicated than expected, according to Howard Dean. The former Vermont governor called the law the health-care version of a “Rube Goldberg contraption,” and added that “sloppy staff work” hasn’t helped. 

During President Obama’s press conference on Thursday to announce a “fix” allowing people to keep canceled plans, he said he’d also been surprised by the complexity of the law: “What we’re also discovering is that insurance is complicated to buy.”
