Dean Says Conservatives Are ‘Smoking Tea’

When Bob Scheiffer asked former Vermont governor Howard Dean (D.) if the president deserved some of the blame for the downgrade of America’s credit rating on Face the Nation, Dean replied with some colorful imagery.

“I think this is a tea-party problem,” Dean said. “I think they are totally unreasonable and doctrinaire and not founded in reality. I think they’ve been smoking some of that tea, not just drinking it.”
