“Suwat” would be THE POLICE. No wonder Thailand has been a sex-trafficking wasteland .
UPDATE: Mercifully, I may have read to fast; a reader:
I don’t see how you can read the Thai policeman’s comments as being sympathetic to Karr. He’s repeating what the guy said, not saying the guy should be released or absolved of his crime if what he says is true. In fact, later in the article Suwat says he is dangerous. Thailan may not prosecute child sex crimes as well as it ought to, but you can’t read Suwat’s statements in this article as condoning Karr’s actions.
