Violence in Syria continued over the weekend with Syrian forces opening fire at civilians during protests, raiding homes, and even attacking funerals. The Toronto Sun reports that three civilians were killed and 200 arrested during home raids in the Barzeh district of Damascus, and two civilians were killed during a funeral in Kiswa. The full extent of the violence can’t be known due to reliance on witnesses for information, as the Syrian government has prevented international journalists from gaining access to the country.
