Debate Moderator Tries to Show Up Scott Brown on NH Geography—Later Admits He Was Wrong

With so many issues on the table during the New Hampshire Senate debate, no one expected the location of Sullivan County to be the most heated. During Thursday’s debate, moderator and WMUR analyst James Pindell corrected Republican challenger Scott Brown about where the county was, only to later apologize in a follow-up newscast.

Pindell asked Brown and Democratic incumbent Jeanne Shaheen to speak to how to improve Sullivan County’s economy. Brown said that Obamacare and increased energy costs are a “wet blanket” on the economy of the more remote county.
