Deep Doubts About Obama

I have a new story up on the home page about undecided voters here in the swing state of Colorado who just can’t seem to commit to Barack Obama.  I spent the afternoon in a private focus-group session with 21 such voters, and even though they couldn’t stand George W. Bush, and didn’t like the Republican party in general, they couldn’t quite convince themselves that Obama is ready to be president.  Time after time, their statements ended up being slightly more favorable to McCain than to Obama.  If you were a McCain strategist observing the session, you would not have walked away unhappy.
