Defending Michelle Obama

Gene Weingarten, over at the Washington Post, does his bit to further the idea that only bigots can find anything at all objectionable in Michelle Obama. He goes so far as to praise her 1985 Princeton thesis as “a well-articulated and completely reasonable argument, certainly for 1985.” Oh come on. Cf. Christopher Hitchens on the same document: “To describe it as hard to read would be a mistake; the thesis cannot be ‘read’ at all, in the strict sense of the verb. This is because it wasn’t written in any known language.”
