I must take issue with your post about Rutgers’ boorish fans. The Midshipmen will soon be facing challenges far more difficult than a bunch of drunken college students. I don’t think they need — nor would they ever ask — opposing fans to ease up a bit just because they’re headed to war. Navy men are made of sterner stuff than that. Assuming the Rutgers fans didn’t treat the Navy team any worse because of Navy’s military affiliation — and the article gives no indication that they did — then I’d shrug this one off, as the Navy players no doubt did. They’re big boys and they can take the heat — and soon they’ll be taking far more serious heat, on our behalf.
