Deification

Kathryn, your liberal has to tell other liberals that deification is no longer on; the word hasn’t gotten out.

I went recently to a memorial service for a good and competent man of a leftish persuasion. Three speakers said how wonderful it was that our friend passed on the day of Obama’s inauguration.

When John Adams and Thomas Jefferson died on July 4, 1826, John Quincy Adams called it “visible and palpable marks of Divine favor, for which I would humble myself . . . before the Ruler of the universire.” Liberals really do seem to treat President Obama in the same spirit.
