One Democrat is warning that more scandals will occur at the IRS unless Congress gives the agency more funding.
“There is no clearer way to promote more scandals than by cutting funding,” New York representative Jose Serrano said at today’s Appropriations Subcommittee hearing on the latest IRS scandals. “At the level this subcommittee is funding right now, we are just asking for more trouble at the IRS and elsewhere.”
Serrano is the ranking member of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Financial Services and General Government.
