Representative Jerrold Nadler (D., N.Y.) accused Republicans of supporting cuts to the food-stamp program in the latest farm bill, because “they just want people to starve.”
Republicans, he claimed in a YouTube video, are “just using [reform and concerns about fraud] as an excuse” to inflict pain. “It’s disgusting,” he added.
Nadler voted against the farm bill because of a 1 percent cut to the food-stamps program.
