DeMint on Toomey

A written statement from Sen. Jim DeMint (R., S.C.) on PA-Senate:

Pat ran one of the best campaigns in the country. He stayed focused on the issues and remained true to his conservative principles. I was honored to support Pat Toomey against then-Republican Arlen Specter when the Washington establishment said a commonsense conservative could not win in Pennsylvania. The voters in the Keystone State proved them wrong today and elected a true statesman to the United States Senate. I look forward to working with Pat in the coming months to hold Washington accountable and to restore America’s greatness.
