One note to add to our otherwise excellent editorial on the “new Marjorie Taylor Greene . . .”
If all it takes to get you to change your mind about Greene is some support for insurance subsidies and accusing Israel of genocide, you’re an extremely cheap date. She’s still the same lunatic she always was, but her populist outrage instincts are putting her in opposition to President Trump on some issues here and there.
It turns out, Maryland Democratic congressman Jamie Raskin is an extremely cheap date.

Political parties always feature a spectrum of political opinion. But if the Democrats’ “huge, vast tent” is big enough for Greene’s calls for “expanding the Second Amendment rights of all Americans,” banning H1B visas, banning foreign students from American universities, opposition to vaccines, support for Tucker Carlson, stolen 2020 election conspiracy theories, resolute opposition to abortion in all forms, concern about chemtrails, ending all foreign aid, ordering a new census, codifying the DOGE cuts, investigating Planned Parenthood, ending so-called “gender-affirming care” for minors . . .
. . . then what does the Democratic Party stand for?
