One cheer for the Democratic Party’s voter base: At least they are not quite as cynical or impervious to reason as their leaders.
- Item: While Pennsylvania Democrats were bankrolling big spending to boost Doug Mastriano, the very same day, thousands of Georgia Democrats crossed over into the Republican primary to support Brian Kemp and Brad Raffensperger over Donald Trump’s 2020 election-protest/spite candidates. Kemp won in a landslide, and while Raffensperger also won by a significant margin, the crossovers may have pushed him over the line to avoid a runoff. Thanks, Georgia Democratic voters.
- Item: Overwhelmingly Democratic San Francisco recalled Chesa Boudin as district attorney, even as Joe Biden and other leading Democrats were too cowardly to criticize Boudin or learn anything from his failure.
- Item: While Colorado Democrats are spending big to promote Mastriano-style “Stop the Steal” candidate Ron Hanks for Senate, thousands of Democrats in Lauren Boebert’s district are changing their registration so they can vote against her. Hopefully, those same voters will ignore their leaders and oppose Hanks as well.
