The Corner

Dennis Hopper, R.I.P.

The actor, an occasional GOP donor, is dead at 74. One of his last roles was in An American Carol, the send-up of Michael Moore.

UPDATE: From a reader:

Dennis Hopper was the second member of the large cast of “An American Carol” to pass on this week. Gary Coleman, the passing of whom you mentioned in an earlier post, was the first.  Hopper was, of course, “The Judge.”  Coleman’s character’s name was “Bacon Stains Malone.”

UPDATE #2:

As you mention in the Corner – Denis Hopper died today – this link here is him reading my favorite poem – “If” by Rudyard Kippling.  What a great read, poem, and he was a great American.  Think of reading it in 1970 –
