Denver Post: Republicans Dominating CO Recall Election

Republicans continue to dominate in the recall election of Senate President John Morse, a Colorado Springs Democrat who faces ouster for his support for stricter gun laws in the 2013 session.

Early voting began Thursday, continued through Friday and today and resumes Monday. The election is on Tuesday.

The vote totals so far from the El Paso County clerk and recorder show that although Republicans only comprise 26 percent of Morse’s Senate District 11, they account for 41 percent of the early voting. Democrats have a lot of votes to make up if they want to keep Morse in office.
