In the Denver Post, Lynn Bartels suggests that things are going well for the pro-recall side in Colorado Springs:
Republicans continue to dominate in the recall election of Senate President John Morse, a Colorado Springs Democrat who faces ouster for his support for stricter gun laws in the 2013 session.
Early voting began Thursday, continued through Friday and today and resumes Monday. The election is on Tuesday.
The vote totals so far from the El Paso County clerk and recorder show that although Republicans only comprise 26 percent of Morse’s Senate District 11, they account for 41 percent of the early voting. Democrats have a lot of votes to make up if they want to keep Morse in office.
These things are always difficult to judge. My view, from here in Colorado, is that this one is going to go right down to the wire.
