In my column this morning, I quoted Bob Woodward as calling the Pentagon’s Doug Feith “the stupidest guy on the face of the earth.” I had read something incorrect. Actually, Gen. Tommy Franks is quoted describing Feith that way – only more vulgarly – in Woodward’s recent book. As a highbrow publication might say, “Mr. Nordlinger regrets the error.”
