I have a new story up about those British press reports that U.S. intelligence agencies spied on Princess Diana and the American businessman Theodore Forstmann.  The stories appeared in the run-up to the release of the Lord Stevens report on Diana’s death.  Now, the report is out, and we know that the British press accounts were wrong.  When I wrote about this the other day, I said, “The first thing to remember in trying to evaluate reports that U.S. intelligence services wiretapped Princess Diana is that British press accounts can be notoriously unreliable.”  Yep.
