Did Marco Rubio Flip-Flop on the Iraq War?

Florida senator Marco Rubio is getting hit from some corners for giving different answers on whether he would’ve supported the invasion of Iraq.

Today, after his remarks at the Council on Foreign Relations in New York City, he told Charlie Rose that, knowing what we know now, he would not have supported the 2003 invasion. In March, appearing on Fox News’s “The Five,” though, he said it wasn’t a mistake to go to war in Iraq. 

A Rubio spokesman says the senator was answering two different questions, the former a hypothetical, the other about the real-time decision. Igor Bobic over at the Huffington Post draws that distinction in his write-up
