There have been reports that they did – but RNC spokesman Doug Heye says that that is not the case. He tells NRO: “The committee did no such thing. Chairman Steele was asked to speak and accepted — as former speaker Gingrich did last year — and a committee staffer participated in a roundtable. The RNC did not contribute any monies to the conference.”
I am disappointed that Steele would speak to the group — Al Sharpton is simply not credible. Michael Steele could walk through much more respectable doors to broaden the reach of the GOP.
