in today’s Daily Telegraph.

It addresses some of the same points about national sensibilities that I

made in my “Mutual Incomprehension” piece a few days ago. Contrast the British war against jungle guerillas in Malaysia (Brits won) with the US action in Vietnam (Yanks lost). There is a

great deal more than that to be said, of course, but these are important

points.
