Making the Hoffman choice in NY-23 isn’t about ideological purity. It’s about integrity.
I would go further and agree with Steyn. It’s also about political survival (and survive you must before you can prosper). Scozzafava and her backers represent perfectly why the libertarians and conservative populists (in other words, the Tea Partiers) have turned against the Republicans. Electing her will only seal the deal. Electing Hoffman will help the Republican future. Losing to the Democrat will mean Hoffman gets another chance next year.
Like you said, a no brainer.
