So, only 18,000 jobs added in June and a quarter million people left the job market altogether. But no one seems to note that in that same month we gave green cards or Employment Authorization Documents to at least 100,000 foreigners. And the administration’s worksite enforcement strategy involves auditing firms and making them fire the illegal workers — but makes sure not to arrest any of them so that they can just cross the street and work at McDonald’s. Isn’t now the time to remove as many illegal workers as possible from the labor market and stop adding so many new legal workers?
