The DNC’s Fake Former Bain Employee

Yesterday the DNC featured remarks by three people billed as “Former Employees at companies controlled by Romney’s Bain Capital” to testify about the economic harms wrought by Bain’s pursuit of profit for its investors. There was just one problem. As ABC reports, one of the speakers — David Foster — was never an employee of a Bain-controlled company. Foster worked for a union seeking to organize and represent employees who worked for GST steel, a company acquired by Bain, but was never on the GST payroll. While Foster himself never expressly claimed to have been a GST employee in his remarks, that is precisely how he was billed by the DNC. FWIW, Foster was also featured in an Obama campaign video
