Do Conservatives Own Spellcheck?

I was just working on a piece on George Clooney’s new movie, The Ides of March, and for the word “Clooney,” spellcheck offered “Clownery” as a substitute. (I know that George and I disagree on some political issues, but I have always liked his screen persona. People tell me it’s his good looks that make him so bankable as a movie star, but conventionally attractive people are a dime a dozen in that line of work. I think the secret of his appeal is that he looks like a nice guy, and is therefore attractive in a non-threatening way. Sort of like Jimmy Stewart in the old days.)

PS. Thanks to many readers for catching the typo! And no, it was not intentional.
