Does Hollywood Need The Heartland?

Jason Apuzzo asks the question, and sadly the answer seems to be “no.” Apuzzo points out that Hollywood has discovered the model of “Fahrenheit 9/11″–which cost about $6 million and grossed over $200 million–and is making low-budget films that appeal to blue states, and then, more importantly, the overseas markets. Apuzzo’s answer? A deep-pocketed conservative needs to step up and do the same thing with films that might appeal to mainstream American audiences. Sounds easy enough. But are there any deep pockets conservatives anymore?
