Does Kamala Harris Listen?

John, every time we see another case of Vice President Kamala Harris speaking off-the-cuff or being interviewed and “speaking without saying anything,” as you put it, I think back to the former Harris staffers who told the Washington Post that “one consistent problem was that Harris would refuse to wade into briefing materials prepared by staff members, then berate employees when she appeared unprepared.”

No doubt Harris would deny this, and Harris’ most ardent defenders in the media would deny this. But as we listen to her answer a question about strategies against Omicron with the Hallmark card babble, “it is time for us to do what we have been doing. And that time is every day,” we should ask ourselves… does this look and sound like a woman who pays close attention in her briefings, and carefully reads all of her briefing materials?
