Dog Days of Winter

The top headline in today’s issue of my local paper is: “Dogs rescued from icy pond.” Now that’s my kind of news–good news. It’s an uplifting story of human-canine drama. Kudos to the Prince William County’s Department of Fire and Rescue for its efforts.

By the way, has a cat ever needed to be rescued from an icy pond?
