For a while now, I have been surprised and disappointed at the half-hearted manner in which the assembled anti-Trump forces have pushed back against Trump’s disgraceful anti-trade demagoguery. So I was thrilled this morning to see an attack ad doing just that. In a video put out by the grassroots group, Americans for the Real Deal, Trump is quite correctly accused of wanting to impose massive new taxes on the economy — taxes that will not only hurt consumers directly, but that a) will serve to take cash away from those very poor Americans that Trump claims he is helping; and b) reinforce the pervasive “cronyism” that he believes he is standing against:
