I spotted this near Manhattan’s Columbus Circle on Saturday night, just across from Trump Tower —

— but that may have been the most exciting part of Trump’s evening hosting Saturday Night Live. The show was tame to the point of snoozing.

The monologue had an amusing moment courtesy of Larry David, whose turn as Bernie Sanders a few weeks back was genuinely hysterical:

But for all of the hand-wringing that preceded the show, it turned out to be an unremarkable evening. More and more it seems clear that Trump is far more amusing when he’s un­-scripted.
