I’m basically with Jonah. I think Obama may have come out slightly ahead, but I don’t think he changed the dynamics of the race. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if Romney continues to gain a bit in the polls.

This isn’t a bad place to go for more background on the pay-gap talking points Mona was justifiably complaining about. And my column on the candidates’ foolishness on trade with China turned out to preview the debate pretty accurately, if depressingly.

One additional thought that doesn’t just repeat what others have said here: I wonder if Romney’s defensive response about the HHS mandate reflects a political judgment that this is a losing issue for Republicans — and if that’s right, I wonder if that judgment is correct.
