This is sort of a bleg: Regarding Jonah’s correction of Kathryn’s attributing him to the Upper East Side of Manhattan as opposed to the Upper West Side — I remember a quote from many years ago to the effect that when we ponder the differences between the East and West sides of Manhattan we should see the need for a certain humility in expecting warring foreigners to get along, or something like that. I’ve googled it as best as I can remember, but can’t find it — any suggestions?
