I think the Republicans may be making a mistake in not addressing it more. I guess the calculation is that making the case for the war will improve the public’s view of the economy, just as bad news from Iraq soured people on the economy earlier. It seems risky. We are, however, going to get a bit more on the economy from Bush–supposedly there will be something on Social Security, finally.
