A professor in Michigan State’s business school compels all her students to pay $99 for the services of a nonprofit group. That group, however, has little or nothing to do with the course. It’s a lefty advocacy group. Can she get away with this?
Not if Alliance Defending Freedom can help it. ADF has filed suit on behalf of two students who are aggrieved at having to pay for “services” they oppose and abhor. This is just like the situation many union workers face.
