Egypt and Obama Backsliding on Middle East Democracy

It seems the rhetorical markers Obama laid about democracy and human rights have expired, just ahead of Egypt’s legislative elections.  So much for democracy or, for that matter, a coherent U.S. strategy to use leverage in negotiations. Anna Borshchevskaya explains in this Daily Star op-ed.
