Elections in Turkey

The parliamentary elections in Turkey will occur tomorrow. It is no exaggeration to say this is the most important contest in recent Turkish history. Folks at NRO, I think, disagree about several issues involved and, maybe, over the next couple days we can debate them depending on how things turn out. But, in the meantime, let me throw out my backgrounder on these Turkish elections which I published earlier this month in an Italian publication.
