A while back, the Atlanta paper put out an invitation for people to try out to be their new token conservative columnist. The ten finalists have been selected and two columns from each are online for reader comments. The reader who sent me the heads-up remarked on my snarky tone, but I’ve got to give them credit for doing this — in fact, I wish the WaPo had done that with, say, David Broder, or the NY Times with most of their columnists — their boring commentary could have been nipped in the bud and better writers put in their places.
