Environmental Watermelons

Jonah, Charles Rubin’s wonderful revisionist history of the environmental movement, The Green Crusade, offers some great insight on both the relation of early environmentalist movements to socialist movements and on that critique of the greens—which, as you say, goes back pretty far. It’s a very eye-opening book.
