Immigration-bill amendments are flying like crazy in the Senate. This one by John Cornyn is expected to come up this morning — it would deny Z visa benefits to terrorists, sex offenders, gang members, and others. The purpose of the amendment flying yes, is to make it a little lemon out of lemonade, but I think in the end serves more to help expose how bad this bill is.
