No, volcanoes erupt. Violence requires perpetrators. The perpetrators of the violence in Iraq are Saddamist insurgents, al-Qaeda terrorists, and Islamist militias, both Sunni and Shia.
Because that is routinely not made clear, much of the world (including many Americans) now agrees with George McGovern & Assoc. — that is to say they believe it’s high time those attempting to protect innocent Iraqis stop interfering with the killers.
