Congrats EPPC

The Ethics and Public Policy Center celebrated its 40th anniversary at a gala dinner in Washington last night. It was a terrific evening, with EPPC’s president Ed Whelan getting well-deserved praise for his leadership of an indispensable organization (indispensable for conservatism in general and for National Review in particular given how much we benefit from the work and friendship of EPPC’s scholars). Paul Ryan headlined the event with an upbeat,  reformist speech and Bill Kristol, Kate O’Beirne, and Robert George roasted and toasted EPPC. Congratulations to Ed and his team on a wonderful night and a consequential 40 years. Here’s a short video of the night’s proceedings:
