It’s that time again already? Elections for the EU’s “parliament” are coming up next month. The turnout promises (a) to hit new lows and (b) to quite possibly throw up some thought-provoking results. Eursoc has a few details here. More on this, doubtless, to come.
In the meantime, in the absence of Carmen Kass (she ran as a candidate for a right-wing Estonian party last time round), the only candidate worth endorsing appears to be Barbara Matera, a former Miss Italy running on the Berlusconi slate without, it seems, the approval of Mrs. Berlusconi. Oh well.
