EU Official Says Iran and Security Council Agree to Nuclear Talks Next Month

EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton stated that the five members of the U.N. Security Council, Germany, and Iran are slated to have a new set of talks on Iran’s nuclear program next month. She said that all parties have agreed to “go forward with an ambitious timeframe” and that senior negotiators would meet in Geneva from October 15 to 16.

According to the AP report, British foreign secretary William Hague noted that there was a “big improvement in the tone and spirit” of Iranian foreign minister Javad Zarif.
