According to the Arizona State elections website, there are 17,280 ballots left to process, a combination of early ballots and provisional ballots to evaluate.
Right now, in the governor’s race, Democrat Katie Hobbs leads Republican Kari Lake by 17,200 votes.
So even if Lake wins 99 percent of the remaining ballots, and Hobbs wins just one percent, Hobbs would remain the winner by 186 votes. We are 80 votes away from Hobbs’s margin of victory exceeding the number of remaining uncounted votes.
There is still no sign of a concession from Kari Lake, her website, her Twitter feed, or her “War Room” Twitter feed. Instead, the War Room feed is retweeting claims that Maricopa County residents were disenfranchised, that Arizonans “know BS when they see it,” and the hashtag #AZVoterSuppression.
UPDATE: Shortly after this Corner post, Kari Lake offered a new video, declaring that she is “still in this fight with you.”
“Our election officials failed us miserably,” Lake says. “What happened to Arizonans on Election Day is unforgivable. Tens of thousands of Maricopa County voters were disenfranchised. Now I am busy here, collecting evidence and data. Rest assured, I have assembled the best and brightest legal team, and we are exploring every avenue to correct the many wrongs that have been done here this past week. I’m doing everything in my power to right these wrongs. My resolve to fight for you is higher than ever.”
