Everything Old is New Again

Charles Murray is so right as usual. Obama, the tribune of change, is and has always been utterly hackneyed and stale in his policy prescriptions. His nostrums, basically warmed over Great Society, are so tired that it reminds me of the old line “Your answers are so old I’ve forgotten the questions.”

But, and this is what is dangerous, the times are tough and Obama is so fresh and intelligent and seemingly reasonable . . . Did I say Great Society? Actually he’s closer to McGovern (the one who ran in ‘72, not the one who opened a bed and breakfast and discovered how burdensome government regulations are).
