MBD goes on a well-timed, well-aimed rant today on The Editors.

When asked about the recent tragedy on a NYC subway, he laments the death, but goes on to say that he’s “never been more disgusted with progressive society than watching this story unfold in the media. . . . His death is absolutely a tragedy, right? Full stop. It’s a tragedy. It’s horrible that he was abandoned to his psychosis and his addictions. But he was abandoned by Blue America, by institutions in Blue America . . . with whom he was in constant contact — with the police, the mental-health services of New York City, social services. This was a known person.”

He is appalled by the normalization of terror on the subways. “In a normal society,” he said, “and in most cities around the world, if that kind of behavior is seen, the police or just a man taking responsibility would take Jordan Neely to the institution that is equipped to handle him and assist him.”
