The Corner

Facts V Feelings

From a reader:

Jonah:

My local rag carries William Raspberry’s syndicated column, and his

topic today was Moore’s Fahrenheit 9/11.

He essentially admits that the film is, on the facts, a “crockumentary,”

but goes on to defend Moore for having the right “attitude” about

things. (Amazingly, he makes the same defense of Louis Farrakhan!)

I take this as an important admission. Haven’t you (we) argued for years

that the Left is bereft of ideas and uninterested in facts, that it’s

main preoccupation is with striking an emotional pose, adopting the

proper “attitude”?
