Kathryn, like all good country music fans, I was watching the CMA awards last night when Faith Hill went wild. There were several faces on screen when the announcement came, and I wasn’t concentrating very hard on the television. Even so, my eye couldn’t help but be pulled to Hill’s remarkable response. It went by in a flash, and I found myself wondering whether I’d been imagining things.
Yesterday, I had something to say about the impact of a surprise Republican win on the Democrats. You might summarize that effect by saying that a narrow Republican retention of both houses would provoke an ultimate Faith Hill moment from the Dems.
